Original Note:
Repeated instances of wildfire, compounded by prolonged drought, has impeded forest resilience against additional wildfires, changing the climate, and causing a feedback loop that causes more wildfires. This dense of smoke this early in the year is a symptom of this effect. https://link.springer.com/content/pdf/10.1038/s41598-019-55036-7.pdf https://climate.nasa.gov/explore/ask-nasa-climate/3066/the-climate-connections-of-a-record-fire-year-in-the-us-west/ https://www.epa.gov/climate-indicators/climate-change-indicators-wildfires
