The above Note either doesn't understand the concept of inflation, or is intentionally mangling it. Inflation is a rate of change. (https://www.investopedia.com/terms/i/inflation.asp) Saying "inflation has fallen" means the rate of change has gone down (not that it is negative). Which it has. (https://www.bls.gov/opub/ted/2023/consumer-prices-up-4-9-percent-from-april-2022-to-april-2023.htm) The tweet is 100% correct.
