Electric vehicles are significantly less likely to catch on fire than gasoline and even hybrid vehicles. https://www.kbb.com/car-news/study-electric-vehicles-involved-in-fewest-car-fires/ The F150 Lightning’s issue is specific to Ford and not respective of all EVs. Other EVs, with the exception of the old Chevy Bolt, are much less likely to ignite than gas.
