Original Note:
The US adult population is 258.3 million. 1-in-5 is 51.7 million adults. Using a conservative family size of 4, that would equate to ~13 million family members killed by a gun. Yet from 1968-2011, approximately 1.4 million gun deaths occurred. Study is likely flawed. https://www.census.gov/library/stories/2021/08/united-states-adult-population-grew-faster-than-nations-total-population-from-2010-to-2020.html https://www.statista.com/statistics/183657/average-size-of-a-family-in-the-us/ https://www.bbc.com/news/world-us-canada-34996604
