FedNow is not a CBDC. In fact, the Federal Reserve Bank has said FedNow might supplant the need for a CBDC. See: https://www.cnbc.com/2023/03/15/long-awaited-fed-digital-payment-system-to-launch-in-july.html Kennedy is right, cash transactions are anonymous. And anything non-cash (checks, credit cars, Bitcoin, FedNow) is not.
