Original Note:
Lightning is always drawn to the tallest building in an area. One World Trade Center fits that description. Even its predecessors, the Twin Towers, were struck by lightning an average of 20 times per year. Tall buildings actually protect the immediate area from lightning. https://portfolio.panynj.gov/2016/08/30/one-wtc-lightning-always-strikes-the-same-place-twice/
