The connection between Adenovirus Associated Virus 2 (AAV2) and hepatitis has also been detected in the US: https://www.nature.com/articles/s41586-023-05949-1 The paper referenced by Iannattone does not discuss AAV2, only adenovirus--which is not required for AAV2 infection or hepatitis.
