The newest numbers back the tweet's claim per NYT citing new CDC data. https://www.nytimes.com/interactive/2022/12/14/magazine/gun-violence-children-data-statistics.html The MedlinePlus/CDC sources are a couple years out of date. The Pew Research source does not break down gun deaths into age groups and does not support the claim that studies inflate gun violence numbers.
