That "50%" increase in miscarriages "in her area" may be grounds for investigation. It was not due to COVID itself. "The body of evidence suggests that the frequency of miscarriage is not increased above baseline." https://www.uptodate.com/contents/covid-19-overview-of-pregnancy-issues (Nor was it due to the vaccine rollout, which was nationwide.)
