Contrary to this unsupported hypothesis, the genetic basis of ADHD is well established. https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/35514173/ ADHD has a very high heritability rate at 74% https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/29892054/ The similar symptoms of ADHD and CPTSD may be responsible for the confusion here. However, correlation does not equal causation.
