Original Note:

The animal shown is not a fish, but a feather star. They are in the phylum echinodermata, the same as sea stars, brittle stars, and sea urchins. All fish, cartilaginous and bony, are in the separate phylum chordata. https://www2.palomar.edu/users/warmstrong/trnov01.htm#echinodermata https://www2.palomar.edu/users/warmstrong/trnov01.htm#chordata
