In April 2020, Elon Musk claimed to have delivered more than 1,000 ventilators to California hospitals (ICU ones cost $35-$50,000 each). When CNN contacted hospitals, they reported receiving ResMed CPAP/biPAP machines ($500-$2,000 each).
