Original Note:
Plymouth Rock was placed in its current position in 1920. Thus it can't be used to gauge long-term sea-level rise. Sydney Harbor levels vary by 2 meters (tides, storms). In 140 years, global mean sea level has risen by about 15 cm, much less than natural variability. https://www.usatoday.com/story/news/factcheck/2022/07/18/fact-check-plymouth-rock-not-accurate-gauge-sea-level-rise/10010728002/ https://factcheck.afp.com/doc.afp.com.32ED3KA https://www.reuters.com/article/factcheck-sydney-sea-level/fact-check-side-by-side-comparison-of-two-photographs-cannot-accurately-determine-sea-level-change-idUSL1N2RL1Q4 https://climatefeedback.org/claimreview/photo-meme-of-sydney-harbour-incorrectly-claims-no-sea-level-rise-has-occurred/?fbclid=IwAR3lK1MokK2ksdmWbVLRiGb8pIC7pBJm6gey2dt_oZOmt0OhentyRehfEvs
