Original Note:
Change in the deficit from FY2021 to FY2022 does little to show Biden fails to count as a big spender. Deficits in FYs2020/2021 were anomalous, boosted by pandemic response. And Biden's plan would have included more spending if not for intra-party opposition. https://www.washingtonpost.com/us-policy/2021/07/01/cbo-deficit-biden-stimulus/ https://www.businessinsider.com/biden-will-sign-any-spending-bill-manchin-sinema-paid-leave-2021-11 https://www.nbcnews.com/politics/congress/manchin-says-build-back-better-dead-here-s-what-he-n1288492 https://www.cbo.gov/publication/57627
