Whilst well-intentioned this is misleading. The photo is from 1942, Operation Torch in North Africa: https://www.iwm.org.uk/collections/item/object/205186058 90% casualties (dead, wounded, missing) were exceptional, reported in one unit at Omaha beach: https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-48215675#:~:text=There%20were%20five%20beaches%20that,lost%2090%25%20of%20its%20men. This unit was A Co, 166th: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/116th_Infantry_Regiment_(United_States)#:~:text=by%20the%20end%20of%20the%20day%2C%20only%2018%20of%20230%20members%20of%20the%20company%20had%20avoided%20becoming%20casualties. On D-Day 4,414 died, from 156,000 soldiers: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Normandy_landings
