According to https://www.powermag.com/ercot-sheds-load-as-extreme-cold-forces-generators-offline-miso-spp-brace-for-worsening-system-conditions/ The majority of generators that are experiencing issues are thermal generators, such as Natural Gas and Coal producers. Some wind turbines have experienced issues, but this hasn’t affected power production nearly as much as the failures of thermal generators have.
