Original Note:
Exit wounds from a .223 or 5.56 round ("assault rifle") are not up to 1 foot in diameter. Studies show that at most, it would be about 2 inches. These rounds also do not cause skulls to explode on impact. In fact, at times there is no exit wound. https://www.researchgate.net/publication/236934203_The_varying_size_of_exit_wounds_from_center-fire_rifles_as_a_consequence_of_the_temporary_cavity https://www.tandfonline.com/doi/abs/10.1080/00450618.2019.1569140?journalCode=tajf20
