Original Note:

Human ancestors became mostly bipedal approximately 4 million years ago as skeletal adaptions developed in the femur, knee, spine & hip. Combined with forward-facing eyes, we walk upright & locomote in the direction we are facing, therefore displaying our back if walking away. https://humanorigins.si.edu/human-characteristics/walking-upright
