Birdwatch Note

This administrative error in 2016 did result in ballots for 83 voters erroneously being sent to a single incorrect address. But CA requires signature verification for mail-in ballots, so it wouldn't have been possible for the recipient to fraudulently cast the ballots. https://www.nbclosangeles.com/news/politics/more-than-80-ballots-sent-to-san-pedro-apartment/106443/ https://www.ncsl.org/elections-and-campaigns/table-14-how-states-verify-voted-absentee-mail-ballots

Tweet embedding is no longer reliably available, due to the platform's instability (in terms of both technology and policy). If the Tweet still exists, you can view it here: https://twitter.com/foo_bar/status/1842707121319584128

Please note, though, that you may need to have your own Twitter account to access that page. I am currently exploring options for archiving Tweet data in a post-API context.
