Birdwatch Note

2024-08-13 23:15:47 UTC - NOT_MISLEADING

BBC article reads 'more than half a mile' not just half a mile as CN says. There are countless sources that say 'depth of about a mile' so OP is correct and CN is spreading false info. Illustration is related and even if it wasn't, there's still not need for CN for that. https://news.sky.com/story/mars-could-have-enough-water-stored-underground-to-cover-the-planets-surface-scientists-say-13196193 https://eu.usatoday.com/story/news/nation/2024/08/12/liquid-water-discovered-on-mars-study/74765921007/ https://www.pnas.org/doi/full/10.1073/pnas.2409983121

Tweet embedding is no longer reliably available, due to the platform's instability (in terms of both technology and policy). If the Tweet still exists, you can view it here: https://twitter.com/foo_bar/status/1823421258840916058

Please note, though, that you may need to have your own Twitter account to access that page. I am currently exploring options for archiving Tweet data in a post-API context.
