Northern Ireland is at least a region & politically recognised as part of the "United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland", uniting 4 countries including NI (originally all ireland). Some want to change that but it remains a fact https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Northern_Ireland
