While currently the CDC lists Covid as the 3rd leading cause of death their data indicates their information is from 2019 not 2023. https://www.cdc.gov/nchs/fastats/leading-causes-of-death.htm CDC has also had multiple issues with correct reporting of actual death from vs death with covid. https://www.aamc.org/news/how-are-covid-19-deaths-counted-it-s-complicated
