The authors claim that staying home and not voting counts as a no vote is entirely wrong. As per the AEC website: “ a national majority of all formal votes cast a majority of formal votes cast in a majority of the states (i.e. at least four out of six states).” https://www.aec.gov.au/referendums/aec/faqs.html#:~:text=All%20eligible%20voters%20are%20required,for%20the%20referendum%20to%20pass.
