Original Note:
TDs (members of parliament) do not have any say in the awarding of public tenders in Ireland. Tenders follow strict EU rules. There is no logical connection between someone picking the winners of a hamper draw in a café in 2018 and the owner getting a tender 6 years later. https://europa.eu/youreurope/business/selling-in-eu/public-contracts/public-tendering-rules/index_en.htm https://www.gov.ie/en/help/c223b-sell-to-government/#how-the-government-buys
