Original Note:

Polyester itself is reasonably inert, it does not leak in to the body. Chemicals left from production can be harmful. Microplastics can shed and end up consumed, but don't "leak" into the body. It's possible that electrostatic charges from polyester affect sperm quality. https://textilelearner.net/polyester-fiber-properties-manufacturing/ https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Polyester https://www.contraceptionjournal.org/article/0010-7824(92)90157-O/abstract
