Veganism has been around since it's first proponent died in 1057, at the age of 84. The claim nobody had heard of it before the 1970s is factually, & deliberately misleading. Veganism is people living without the abuse, slavery & slaughter of sentient beings, not just a diet. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Veganism
